Based near the historic equestrian town of Chantilly, France, Christophe Tanière is an equestrian photographer whose work is recognised for its quiet, observational approach to the relationship between horse and rider.
Since 2015, he has collaborated with the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI), documenting international events including the World Equestrian Games, the FEI World Cup, and the Tokyo Olympic Games. His photography has also been commissioned by leading equestrian brands, prestigious stud farms, and editorial publications around the world.
Guided by the belief that photographing horses is not about capturing their power, but revealing their vulnerability, Christophe's work invites viewers to pause, observe, and discover the quiet moments where connection becomes visible.
The Mood Room presents the work of French equestrian photographer Christophe Tanière, whose images explore the quiet relationship between horse, rider, and the spaces they inhabit.
Based near the historic equestrian town of Chantilly, France, Christophe's photography moves beyond competition to reveal moments of stillness, trust, and observation. Through black and white imagery and film, he invites us to slow down and experience the elegance of the equestrian world from a more intimate perspective.
Presented over six weeks, this exhibition celebrates contemporary equestrian photography through a curated selection of photographs and film.
